United Way of the Lakeshore
Through its ALICE initiative (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed), United Way of the Lakeshore provides funding to Mission for Area People (MAP) to support low-income, working individuals. These funds help cover essential needs such as car repairs, car insurance, fuel, and other transportation-related expenses.
Trinity Health
Trinity Health continues to be a valued supporter of Mission for Area People, including through our annual medical/dental program fundraiser.
MAP receives hundreds of calls each year requesting medical and dental assistance. Annually, we provide more than $10,000 in support for expenses such as copays, procedures, durable medical equipment, transportation, and consultations.
The MAP Medical/Dental Fund serves as a vital bridge for individuals facing urgent needs. Thank you, Trinity Health, for helping build this bridge.
Community Foundation for Muskegon County
The Community Foundation for Muskegon County supports MAP through grants and by offering a semi-annual online “Wish List” that connects donors with current needs.
The Foundation also manages the Mission for Area People Endowment Fund, which ensures long-term sustainability. This fund demonstrates a commitment to MAP’s future while providing ongoing financial support as we respond to emerging challenges and opportunities.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
Through its foundations, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has supported MAP with a variety of grants. These contributions help sustain vital programs serving residents throughout Muskegon County.

In addition to their generous contributions, Webb Chemical employees also volunteer their time, joyfully supporting our Teen Town Christmas program and making the season brighter for local youth.
We are grateful for their continued partnership and commitment to our community.
Women's Division Chamber of Commerce
The Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce contributes more than $15,000 annually to MAP programs through fundraising events such as Dancing with the Local Stars and Trinkets & Treasures.

Temple United Methodist Church
Mission for Area People has maintained a strong partnership with Temple United Methodist Church since its founding in 1967. MAP was created by area Methodist churches to better coordinate resources and serve families in need.
