The first year for the Feet & Seat Give-Away was a success! Mission for Area People provided 162 children new socks and underwear to begin the new school year. (I think the parents were more excited than the kids!) Unfortunately, 35 families who signed up did not show or call the day of the give-away.
The kids also got to visit our coat room and pick out a coat for when the weather gets a little cooler. Madonna Borgerding, who organizes the Clothing Pantry, estimated she gave out 105 coats to children.
